The Natural Park of Costa Vicentina covers more than 76 000 hectares and includes more than 100 species of flora that are considered to be endemic, rare or highly localised. There are also a significant number of rare animal species that are threatened with extinction.
Birds
It is the only place in the world where the White Stork nests on sea cliffs. Here one can also find the White Heron, Bonelli’s eagle, the Red-Billled Chough and the Rock Pigeon.
Mammals
